The Aptera 2e

The Aptera 2e, an ultra-efficient passenger vehicle combining the lowest possible aerodynamic drag with super strong, light weight composites and highly-efficient propulsion systems, visits the Idealab offices in Pasadena, CA.

Aptera utilizes a series of side and rear mounted video cameras along with a bank of monitors located in the dash to negate the need for traditional side view mirrors, thereby further reducing the vehicle's drag.

After being unloaded from its transport trailer, the Aptera is prepped to provide test rides to local elected officials and their staff.

Despite its appearance, the Aptera does not actually fly.

The Aptera includes a touch screen navigation system that also provides access to numerous vehicle functions including battery information and climate control settings.

The sleek lines of the Aptera capture people's attention wherever it goes.

Aptera's surprisingly roomy interior can easily accommodate front occupants in excess of 6 feet tall and still boasts plenty of storage room in its rear cargo compartment.
