Wes brings to Idealab 20+ years of experience managing information systems and technologies. Just prior to joining the Idealab team in May 2000, Wes served as a Managing Director for IKON Office Solutions (NYSE), an outsourcing firm providing a broad spectrum of technology-related services to both large companies and entrepreneurial ventures. Until its acquisition by IKON, Wes was co-founder and president of Alliance Computer Group, a technology integration firm that offered a broad spectrum of services including LAN/WAN design, internet services provisioning, application development and managed hosting. Wes holds B.S. degrees in Biology and Anthropology from Loma Linda University, completed postgraduate work in computer engineering at UC San Diego and obtained a M.B.A. from the Fisher School of International Business at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. When not spending his spare time — and substantial amounts of disposable income — restoring a 1917 Craftsman bungalow, Wes enjoys hiking and mountain biking in the San Gabriel mountains with his human (and canine) family.
