Thomas Siekman was appointed to Idealab's Board of Directors in September 2002. From 1998 through 2002, Tom was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Compaq Computer Corporation. He had previously served in the same capacity for Digital Equipment Corporation. He also is presently Lead Director of the Board of Directors of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, in addition to chairing its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. He on occasion is a guest lecturer and panelist with the National Association of Corporate Directors, and at the Global Business School at Brandeis University. Mr. Siekman is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and a Trustee of the New England Legal Foundation. Mr. Siekman earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from Merrimack College and a Juris Doctor degree from Villanova School of Law. He also has attended the Northeastern University Management Development Program and the European Institute of Business Administration Advanced Management Program.
