Jack Rivkin joined the Idealab Board of Directors in 2009 and has been a respected figure in the investment industry for many years. Since his retirement in 2008, he has been engaged with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in climate change discussions regarding private capital as well as with the Atlantische Community. Mr. Rivkin was also a member of the Neuberger Berman Climate Change Fund Advisory Board, a climate change fund that he created while Chief Investment Officer there. He holds several board positions with a wide variety of companies worldwide including Idealab, Dale Carnegie and the Neuberger Berman Mutual Funds. He is the subject of a series of management case studies developed by the Harvard Business School. He is the co-author of Risk and Reward--Venture Capital and the Making of America's Great Industries (Random House). Mr. Rivkin earned his professional Engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines and his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
