Evolution Robotics Acquired by iRobot
Idealab founded Evolution Robotics in 2001 as a robotics platform company based on Bill's vision to usher in the era of personal robotics. In 2010, the company introduced the Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner which quickly became one of the best-selling household robotic products on the market. On September 17th, the company announced that it was acquired by iRobot for $74 million.
